What to expect
A typical tour starts our antiques journey with a stop-off at a local, pre-arranged, cafe or inn where informal introductions are shared over coffee & pastries. Sarah will introduce her fascinating background working in royal palaces, museums and managing heritage attractions. There may be an anecdote or two thrown in about her many experiences of working behind the scenes. In addition, she will tell you about her travels as an antiques collector, art adviser and her extensive experience as an antiques dealer.
tailoring the tour to you
We discuss your antiques & vintage interests and passions or what you might be keen to start collecting and buying to help shape our tour. Sarah will bring along some antiques and vintage pieces to help start the discussions. She offers top tips, for example, on assessing condition, identifying a water-colour from an oil painting or print, an item’s age or what is currently on trend.
mystery objects
We have fun trying to guess ‘mystery’ objects, guessing their function, age & value. Sarah then outlines the day and answers any questions.
We never know what antique treats we will find, which makes the day more exciting! Whether you are a novice collector or an experienced buyer, everyone is welcome on our tours. Maximum x4 per tour. Must be aged 16 or over.
