Meticulously painted c1960s/70s oil on board London cityscape from the River Thames by Leonard Kingwood. It is signed ‘Kingwood’ bottom right.

St Paul’s Cathedral dominates the centre of the skyline with boats on the foreshore and an array of ship masts bobbing up and down either side. Beautiful blue and grey tones and hues with billows of smoke rising upwards in the distance giving it a wonderful misty atmospheric late evening or early morning feel.

Leonard Kingwood specialised in painting London views in oil. He was from Cornwall and became a highly accomplished artist. In original teak wooden frame with metal edge.
