Well known Belfast artist, McKeown specialised in Irish landscapes but also travelled widely, including to Bruges. He has used a broad spectrum of colours to create this beautiful mountain landscape scene. The muted pastel colours of blues, turquoises, pinks, green, yellow and white convey a bright summer’s day with white fluffy cumulus clouds. This contrasts well with the mountain river and heathland below.

Oil painting on canvas and linen stuck to board. Original gold frame with green painted inner. The frame has wear and tear commensurate with a picture nearly 100 years old. It is slightly buckled but sits flat to the wall when placed next to it. Two hanging fixings taped to the reverse.

A great addition to any interior.
