Harry Bush ROI (1883-1957) 1930s Oil On Board Seascape Marine Fishing Boat & Tug
Meticulously painted 1930s oil on board seascape by Harry Bush (1883-1957).
Painted on a sunny day with a never ending bright blue sky, peppered with white powdery clouds, Harry Bush has perfectly captured this maritime scene.
A fishing vessel’s sails billow in the wind as the boat navigates its way via a choppy sea culminating in sea spray in abundance. Beyond is a tug boat or vessel pumping small plumes of smoke from its chimney.
Bush has diligently signed and dated the painting (1935) and inscribed it ‘ROI’ with reference to the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, in neat writing bottom right of the picture.
